In an exciting venture into the world of cutting-edge biotechnology and cultural exchange, students from the Molecular Biotechnology Program at Galala University  (egyptian university) have embarked on a comprehensive visit to Italy, starting from February 3rd to 11th, 2024. This educational journey is part of the university’s commitment to providing its students with hands-on experience in the global arena of science and research.

The visit kicked off with an intensive training session at the ENEA Casaccia  Research Centre - Biotechnology and Agroindustry  Division, where students delved into the latest advancements in space agriculture, flow cytometry, and gene sequencing from February 5th to 7th. This unique opportunity allowed them to engage directly with advanced technologies and methodologies, enhancing their practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

Continuing their educational journey, the students visited Tuscia University and La Sapienza University in Rome on February 7th and 8th. These visits provided a platform for exploring future biotechnology programs and discussing potential collaborative projects under the frameworks of Prima and Horizon Europe. The interactions with faculty and researchers at these institutions offered insights into the cutting-edge research and academic opportunities available in Italy.

An integral part of their visit was the engagement with key cultural and academic figures in Italy, including meetings with Dr. Marwa Fawzy, the director of the Egyptian Cultural Office, and H.E. Bassam Radi, the Egyptian Ambassador in Rome. These meetings emphasized the importance of cultural and academic diplomacy in fostering international collaborations.
