The Laboratory carries out research, development, experimentation and demonstration activities for the implementation of innovative Agriculture 4.0 solutions aimed at the digital transition of businesses, the protection of agroecosystems, the development and use of integrated modeling tools, to support of the growth and sustainability of production.

The laboratory activities are focused  on innovation on research, development and transfer activities to increase competitiveness, quality, safety and sustainability of food production systems and agroforestry.

The Laboratory performs research on and promotes innovation aimed at developing sustainable and competitive production systems of the areas food and non-food, exploiting biological resources, plant species, microbial by-products and waste pursuing the overall goal of developing products and processes through the use of innovative enabling technologies (KETs), for applications in the agro-food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical.
